Phase I – New construction of a 65,000 SF, two-story clubhouse designed by Childs Bertman Tseckares / CBT of Boston, Massachusetts. This clubhouse contains many unique features including a circular domed roof at the Pro Shop and a two story cupola, both with standing seam copper roofs. Traditional exterior cornice moulding and window / door head details set this club apart from typical South Florida architecture. Inside, a two-story vaulted ceiling loggia, winding wood staircase and formal living rooms define the exquisite character of this exclusive club. Phase II – This project involved renovations and additions to several areas of the Clubhouse, originally constructed by Weitz in 1997. Renovation included a new 2nd story Chiller/Storage Building, new Accounting offices and exterior renovation of the 19th Hole Lounge patio including new pavers, drainage, landscape lighting and retaining walls. Hurricane Damage – Located in Vero Beach, all three clubhouses operated by John's Island Club were badly damaged by Hurricanes Frances and Jeanne. Work includes roofing, misc. exterior carpentry and repairs, new standing and running trim, wall, floor and ceiling finishes. Work on the Beach Club was fast-tracked to completion in November 2004 to allow the Club to provide a food and beverage venue for their members. Repairs to the main Golf Clubhouse were completed in January 2005. |
