News & EventsNews ReleaseBack to News & EventsBREAKING NEWS...August 2005 WEITZ GOLF INTERNATIONAL Roslyn, Washington – Weitz Golf International has been awarded the contract for construction of the Rope Rider golf course located in Roslyn, Washington. Rope Rider is the third course being built for the Suncadia Resort. Weitz Golf also completed the Palmer designed Prospector course and Tom Doak designed Tumble Creek course within the burgeoning development. Built around an abandoned coal mine, the course is named after the miners who rode ropes down into the mine shafts. An existing coal stockpile will come into play on several holes on the back nine. The Jacobsen-Hardy designed course measures 7,203 yards from the back tees and features a bluegrass blend on the fairways and bentgrass greens.
