MACAO BEACH RESORT – DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

North Palm Beach, FL (August 2004) – Weitz Golf International has made it's initial venture into the Caribbean market with the signing of the pre-construction agreement for the golf course construction at Macao Beach Resort in the Dominican Republic. The golf course is being designed by Nick Faldo. The site consists of a wide expanse of a coconut palm lined beach, mangroves, and a unique headland that protrudes out into the Atlantic Ocean. Several of the proposed golf holes incorporate the beauty of the headlands. Weitz Golf is responsible for the development of the construction budgets, scheduling, and coordination of the proposed work. The fast-track pre-construction program began May 17th and construction is scheduled to begin during the month of September.
