BLACK BEAR GOLF CLUB – DELHI, LA

North Palm Beach, Florida (June 2004) - Construction is underway on this 7,100 yard championship golf course located in Northeast Louisiana. Designed by Bechtol-Russell Golf Design of Austin, Texas, this course will incorporate Bogzack Creek and the natural wetlands on the property into a challenging layout. The project also features a 22 acre practice facility. The golf course is part of an overall master plan designed by Bechtol-Russell for the Poverty Point Regional Economic Development Corp. Other amenities include the reservoir, boat ramps and marina, and rental cabins. Weitz Golf is delivering a turn-key course ready for play. Construction is scheduled to be complete in the Spring of 2005 with grow-in complete and a grand opening in the Summer of 2005.
