News & EventsNews ReleaseBack to News & EventsTHE POLO CLUB OF BOCA RATONBOCA RATON, FL (April 2002) — Weitz Golf International recently completed Clubhouse addition and renovations as well as renovations of the Practice Facility and 10th Hole at The Polo Club of Boca Raton, Boca Raton, Florida. The Clubhouse, designed by Slattery & Associates of Boca Raton, involved 92,000 square feet of additions and complete renovations of the 75,000 square foot existing facility. The renovation included new tennis and golf pro shops, spa & fitness areas, indoor racquetball courts, men’s and women’s locker rooms, an underground parking garage, dining rooms and bar areas, administration, Porte Cochere, and main entry areas. The 25 million dollar project was completed in five phases over 27 months. The Golf Practice Facility and 10th Hole renovations were designed by Gary Player Design, in conjunction with Tim Freeland. The work included a complete renovation of the Practice Facility, chipping and putting greens, renovation of the 10th Hole, the addition of a decorative waterfall, expanded cart staging, and cart circulation areas.
