News & EventsNews ReleaseBack to News & EventsFRENCHMAN'S CREEK COUNTRY CLUB – SOUTH COURSE
This fast paced renovation project included stripping and clearing the entire course and regrading the course per Mr. Cupp's directions. Additionally, a complete new irrigation system was installed. The renovated course features larger greens grassed with TifEagle, TifSport fairways, bunkers, new timber bridges, timber bulkheading, and custom colored cart paths. The renovated fairways are highlighted by new landscaping throughout the course. Of the renovation project, Bob Cupp said, "Frenchman's Creek was an important project in my career almost thirty years ago. To be asked to renovate it after all this time makes me feel very good. And, we had a great contractor in Weitz. They performed beautifully, making the new Frenchman's Creek South into a modern golf course, but with all of the original flare. They did a great job." This is the second renovation that Weitz Golf International has performed at Frenchman's Creek having completed the total renovation of the clubhouse in the Summer of 2001. Weitz Golf International is a wholly owned division of The Weitz Company, LLC, that was established in 1855. With a 146-year history of financial strength and time tested project controls, Weitz Golf continues to be a leader in of golf course and clubhouse construction. Weitz Golf International's offices are located in North Palm Beach, Florida and Temecula, California. For More Information, contact: Matt
