WEITZ GOLF INTERNATIONAL COMMENCES CONSTRUCTION ON BEAR'S BEST - LAS VEGAS

ClubCorp, Inc. Project To Include Teaching Facilities & Clubhouse

TEMECULA, CA (October 2000) — Weitz Golf International has begun construction of the Bear's Best - Las Vegas Golf Course. This 18-hole championship layout includes a collection of eighteen of Jack Nicklaus' finest holes from other courses throughout the United States and abroad. Located on the west side of Las Vegas, it features exciting views looking down towards The Strip, and will be easily accessible via the Western Beltway.

The dramatic course routing winds amongst pristine lakes, and includes a driving range, teaching facilities, and two rest areas within the layout. The project also includes a clubhouse, with full restaurant facilities, locker rooms, and pro shop. ClubCorp, Inc. is creating the golf facility, and The Howard Hughes Corporation is developing the residential and commercial parcels surrounding the golf course.

Weitz Golf is constructing all aspects of the project, including the golf course, irrigation systems, cart paths, clubhouse and all related vertical structures. Grassing is scheduled to be complete in July 2001 with clubhouse construction wrapped up by November.
